Traditionally, worshipping Bhagawan and receiving His Grace has been upheld as the ultimate aspiration for millennia. It is our responsibility to keep up that tradition.

Shankara Bhagavatpada elucidated on the worship of Ishwara. When visiting a temple, we typically bring offerings. But what is the most suitable offering to Bhagavan? Bhagavatpada's prayer to Ishwara provides an intriguing answer.

"What can I offer You, O Lord? What do I possess that You do not already have?" Offering gold or money is redundant, as Bhagavan possesses all wealth. Even rare items made of gold hold no significance, as He has celestial treasures readily available.

"Perhaps soothing substances like sandal paste?" Yet, Bhagawan adorns the Moon itself, rendering such offerings unnecessary. With Kalpavruksha & Kamadenu in his possession, none can meaningfully offer novelties to Ishwara which He is not readily capable of acquiring on His own. After careful consideration, Bhagavatpada concluded: "O Lord, I have nothing worthy to offer but my own mind."

There is no other better offering to the Ishwara. If one offers one's mind at the feet of Ishwara, one can attain the summum bonum of life. Many raise the objection, "It is not possible to offer the mind to Ishwara. If the mind were to be an external object, we could take it and place it at His feet. But it is not so. We cannot physically handle the mind. How then can we dedicate our minds to Ishwara?". The answer is, "By keeping Ishwara in our minds at all times".One must engage himself in thinking of Ishwara. He should not entertain any other thought in his mind. - The essence from a passage in the Book "Essentials of True Devotion"
