Jagadguru Sri Chandrashekara Bharathi would guide devotees in many ways, even in their dreams. Once an ardent devotee prayed fervently for guidance as his mind used to be very unstable during the japa. His prayers did not go unanswered. One day early in the morning he saw in his dream-like state Sri Jagadguru marking a mandala (a circle) around him and then asking him to do the japa. The devotee woke up at that moment and followed the instructions. His mind calmed down and he could focus his mind on japa without any difficulty. His progress in spiritual sadhana was swift thereafter. This incident also shows us how effective devotion and complete surrender to a Guru could be in solving spiritual problems and attaining goals.
