Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji on Sanatana Dharma

Jagadguru Shankaracharya Sri Sri Bharati Tirtha Mahaswamiji: In Sanatana Dharma, we believe in the existence of a Supreme power which ensures that we get the results of our actions and that is responsible for the creation, sustenance and annihilation of the Universe. We must realize that we worship Bhagawan for our own good. It is essential to cultivate devotion. We must never see differences in the names and forms of the Lord. It was with this sense that Sri Adi Shankaracharya wrote hymns on various forms of the Lord. Lord Vishweshwara at #Kashi, #Ramanatha at #Rameshwaram, #Mallikarjuna at #Srisailam and #Mahakala at #Ujjain are one and the same. Except for the names, there is no difference in the Chaitanyam. In and around Sringeri we see Ishwara worshipped in the name of #Mallikarjuna. Bhagavatpadacharya also praised #Ishwara with this name in His beautiful work #Shivananda Lahari “सेवे श्रीगिरिमल्लिकार्जुनमहालिङ्गं शिवालिङ्गितम्”. We must develop the habit of reading these Stotras for some time every day.
