Faith indeed reigns Supreme! Ray of wisdom by #Jagadguru #SriSri #Chandrashekara Bharathi Mahaswamigal :

People approached Sri Jagadguru most of the time seeking relief from incurable diseases. Sri Jagadguru would prescribe some religious rite or ask them to do the Japa of a particular mantra. But He always insisted that the person had to have perfect faith in what was done. Once a gentleman came with a disease which had not been cured with different types of medicine. Sri Jagadguru initiated him into a mantra and asked him to do the Japa for the cure. The devotee after receiving the mantra asked if he could continue the medicine he was taking. Sri Jagadguru immediately replied that he could do so if he thought the mantra was not sufficient. Here was a test of the devotee's faith in the Guru and the mantra, in which he had unfortunately failed.
