Although a Jivanmukta, revelling in the bliss of the self, Jagadguru Sri Chandrasekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji took the necessary but inevitable interest in the affairs of the Math and interacted with the devotees and disciples on all occasions except when HH would be in Samadhi state. Sri Jagadguru never thought it necessary to abandon or run away from this world nor abstained from the rituals of a sanyasin and was particularly severe in their performance not condoning any lapse. HH was true to the diction of Bhagavan in Bhagavad-Gita that a realised soul has to set an example to the ignorant.

न बुद्धिभेदं जनयेदज्ञानां कर्मसङ्गिनाम्।

जोषयेत्सर्वकर्माणि विद्वान् युक्तः समाचरन्।।Gita 3.26।।

The most important thing is that even when acting in this world His Holiness was never attached to anything and remained as a drop of water on a lotus leaf.
