Some people are jealous and bitter towards noble persons and inclined to abuse them. Such abuse, however, will not in any way harm the noble persons.
Jealous people cannot become great. But they feel they are in no way inferior to the noble persons and that the latter are ordinary. They go about giving expression to this feeling. It is only the result of haughtiness. For example, the sun gives light to the whole world. Can anybody be jealous of this attribute, or claim equality with the sun, or feel he is greater than the sun? It can never happen. One cannot even look at the sun with wide-open eyes. Similarly, in the case of noble persons also it will be advisable to develop a friendly attitude towards them and shed any other feeling.
If we cultivate that spirit, we may imbibe at least a little of their nobility; our lives may become pure. So, let everyone associate with noble people and attain grace.
